In 2010 I decided to start doing my photography as a side business, I loved photography, had an eye for color and texture, and was beginning to love photoshop and all of its wonders. I started under my maiden name, but soon after getting engaged, and realizing I would be changing my name, I changed the name of the business to Studio Byrd Lowe (which incorporates my new last name with my old name). In the beginning, I was only able to take portraits outdoors since I didn’t have an actual studio, and would use my living room to do newborn sessions. In January 2013 I purchased the building in Firth and we started renovation! Having a studio of my own makes it possible for me to take photos all year round, no matter the weather or time of day! The charming rustic meets chic interior is very cozy and inviting with plenty of space for all sorts of different backdrops. You can now find me at 307 Nemaha Street in Firth, Nebraska…just look for the gray building with the yellow front door!
